I love late summer sessions and loved doing this senior photoshoot at Lake Alvin. Lizzie made this session so easy, she is stunning and very easygoing. We had so much fun during this session at Lake Alvin — located just outside of Sioux Falls for her senior photos. The nature and lake backdrop gave us a beautiful Earthy aesthetic and her outfits had some florals that matched the location perfectly.
For all senior photoshoots, I recommend taking a little time to plan out what you want your session to look like. Choose a location that has meaning to you or a spot you love. This could be your school, a park, or a place that is related to your hobbies or interests. It’s good to think about the vibe you want, whether that is nature or urban.
For your photoshoots with me, you always welcome to bring props like books, sports-related items, jerseys, hats, and outfit options. I like to tell seniors they can send me their outfit inspiration, mood boards, and any outfits they are thinking of to get an extra opinion on what might look good for your session. I’m always willing to share my honest opinion based off your ideas.
Last but not least — remember to trust your photographer (hi, me) for guidance during the photoshoot and remember to relax and have fun! This is such a significant and memorable time and your photos will help you remember this exciting season you’re in.
I’d be honored to capture this exciting season for you and make a senior session that matches the aesthetic you’re looking for! Click HERE to inquire for a senior session.
