The Ivy House: Your Dream Wedding Venue in Milwaukee, WI

You’re engaged! Eeeek!! Now time to start thinking about where you want to celebrate your love story. Choosing the right venue is so important especially with finding one that includes all the elements you want in your day and that will match the style and host all your favorite people. Looking for a beautiful Milwaukee venue that has all the space, nature-inspired, and is modern with all the amenities you could want in a wedding. Look no further than the Ivy House in Milwaukee, WI.

As a nature-loving, plant mom, and Earth-inspired girl that also loves the industrial look myself, I am in LOVE with the Ivy House wedding venue. There are endless green backdrops, Ivy plants, and a gorgeous patio to literally dance under the stars. So beautiful.

Here are some of my favorite locations for details in the space — the grand ballroom and bridal suite. Tons of natural light, ivy plants to incorporate, and a very cool stereo backdrop in the bride’s private suite.

Moving on to the first looks — again, endless options. We decided to use the green brick right below the bride’s suite outside for a first look with her dad and Zach, along with a letter reading.

I’m crying all over again seeing the photos from this day. This couple was so sweet and really open to all the options. They knew they had carefully chose this venue and told me over and over how much they loved it.

After the first look we moved into some wedding party and family photos. This group was so fun and their wedding party was so ready to celebrate with these two.

How could I forget about bride and groom portraits?! The amount of love these two have for each other made it so easy to see they are the perfect pair. Their love story is super sweet with them growing up just down the street from each other basically growing up together. It wasn’t until college when they began dating and then ultimately getting engaged.

Here come more happy tears, time for the ceremony. Oh my goodness this ceremony was so intentional and sweet to capture. The couple had an outdoor ceremony right on the patio of the Ivy House. The ceremony space provided a beautiful green backdrop for sharing their vows and their guests bringing letters up to them.

BRB wiping my tears… After a beautiful and emotional ceremony the cocktail hour started for guests to mingle and congratulate the newly weds. I love that the bride and groom joined their guests at the cocktail hour. The perfect time to reflect on your day and talk to your guests since the day truly does fly by. Next, the groom’s family gave a few heartfelt speeches before everyone moved into the grand ballroom for dinner.

Continuing with the order of events — the best man and maid of honor give some speeches and then we snuck out for a few sunset hour photos. As the night was coming to an end, everyone out onto the patio again for the first dances and party to begin. We laughed, we danced, we cried. Needless to say, I think it was the best day ever for these two. It was truly such an honor to be there and document this entire day at this stunning venue. I can’t wait to come back and hope to capture wedding for many more amazing couples at the Ivy House.
