I’ve been friends with Samy for almost five years now and I’m so happy to have been there during the beginning of hers and Jon’s relationship and see them both get close and now plan their future together. Samy is from Ecuador and Jon grew up in Brandon, SD. They met through working at the same job in Sioux Falls, SD in finance and found they had so much in common – including attending the same university in Sioux Falls prior to their finance careers. They are both so passionate about traveling, education, trying new things and cultures, and their cats of course. These two are so amazing together and are so similar — I’m so excited to be on this journey with them in life and was honored to take their engagement photos in Grand Teton National Park!

Here are some of my favorites from this gorgeous day at the Jenny Lake Overlook in the park. It was such a perfect spot that had a beautiful look of the lake and mountains in the background — plus the forest on the other side of the trail. We didn’t have to walk far from our parked car to get to this gem of a photo spot. We went out on the trail at about 9:00 AM to begin the photoshoot and played with the lighting a bit to have some backlit photos but also the sun bright on the mountains. The next time I visit I can imagine going out for sunset hour to this lake and Grand Teton National Park to be completely glowing. I think most times of day this park is truly so beautiful.
