Top 7 Sioux Falls Wedding Venues
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is the perfect place to get married. There are a variety of venue options including elegant ballrooms, historic buildings, and outdoor spaces. The city of Sioux Falls also offers a lot of affordable yet modern and high-end looking options for weddings — including venues, catering, and other services compared to some larger metropolitan areas.
As a Sioux Falls wedding photographer based out of Sioux Falls, I’ve been so grateful to work with many of the amazing wedding vendors and venue owners in the area. I am continually so impressed by the top-notch service, friendliness, and expertise that they all provide. They truly care about their couples and helping them make it the best day for them and incredible experience. Here are some of my favorite Sioux Falls wedding venues to photograph in Sioux Falls, SD.
1. Monick Yards
This new space located in downtown Sioux Falls offers a very elegant, industrial, and classic feel for a wedding venue. The venue is very spacious with a separate ceremony and reception space, built-in bar, private bride and groom suite. With a capacity of 320 guests, this modern space is perfect for hosting a medium-large sized wedding. I love this venue for its downtown location, the elegant design throughout the venue, and tons of perfect spots for photos with plenty of natural light. This space is also unique with it being wheelchair accessible throughout the space and it having no stairs which is a big plus.
2. The Atrium at Blue Haven
The Atrium at Blue Haven is another classic wedding venue located just south of Sioux Falls, SD. This stunning venue includes a full kitchen service (to die for food every time), seating space for up to 500 guests, and has both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. Also, this space is so chic with it being mostly neutral with hints of black accents. Throughout the space there is plenty of natural light including in the private bride and groom suites. Overall, there are endless great photography opportunities throughout this venue with it as the backdrop or around the beautiful pond that is right outside. I highly recommend the Atrium for your wedding venue!
3. The Emerald Pines Barn
The Emerald Pines Barn is such a stunning wedding venue. It gives an elegant and rustic feel and has a built-in bar, private bride and groom suites, indoor and outdoor ceremony space options, and much more. The venue owners, Kristi and Jason Shanks, make the day flow so smoothly along with their friendly staff to help bring your wedding day to life and ready to assist throughout the day.
Additionally, there is so much natural light throughout this venue and some jaw-dropping spots for photos just outside of their venue with all the evergreen trees surrounding the venue. This spacious venue is perfect for hosting a guest count of up to 350 guests in their grand hall.

4. Icon Lounge & Events Hall
Located in the beautiful downtown Sioux Falls, the Icon Lounge & Events Hall is an incredible venue option for weddings, receptions, and corporate events. Their venue space is 4,200 square feet and optimal for events big and small. Another big perk is they offer planning, and catering, and have bar and staff on-site options for additional services. Being right next to the DaDa Gastropub restaurant in the Gourley Building, you get the artistic and eclectic ambiance of both of those historic buildings. The Icon Lounge is a great option for a more industrial, eclectic, and a little bit of a retro vibe for your wedding day.
5. The Veranda by Meadow Barn
The Veranda by Meadow Barn brings a modern farmhouse look to your wedding day that is full of natural light. Located just South of Sioux Falls in Harrisburg, it is surrounded by a gorgeous, dreamy apple orchard next to its sister venues, The Meadow Barn and the Beaver Creek Chapel (also beautiful venues). The Veranda is an open-air build, includes a separate bride and groom suite, bar, and has options for outdoor and indoor ceremonies. In the summer, the outdoor ceremony space is ideal and gives a garden wedding vibe. There is also a little pond, rustic swing, car, and many other great spots for photo opportunities around this stunning venue.
6. The District
The District in Sioux Falls is the perfect space for your large classic wedding. This venue offers on-site catering and can seat up to 400 guests. Their friendly and accommodating team is ready to help assist couples with any needs to bring their dream day to life. Unlike many other venues, the location is right in the center of Sioux Falls. The space is also a popular concert location, making it the perfect place to celebrate with your favorite people. With multiple hotel options right next to this location, your guests will have a place to stay and you’ll have a place to get ready on your wedding day.
7. The Gardens at Landscape Garden Center
For all the nature-loving couples, this is the perfect and unique venue for you and your guests. The Gardens at Landscape Garden Center offer two larger spaces for your wedding: The Courtyard (outdoors) and the Greenhouse (indoors). The greenhouse can hold up to 500 guests and the courtyard up to 300. Both areas are very elegant and allow you to design the venue to your liking with florals and colors.
