reasons why you should book a brand photoshoot

What to do as soon as your get your brand photos back

A lot of people who get brand photos done don’t always use their photos to their full potential. I want to change that and help you get the most out of your new photos! Brand photos are your opportunity to really show off your brand and make yourself recognizable across multiple platforms. Your audience and customers will begin to quickly recognize your business and spread the word — ultimately increasing your following and leading to business growth.

1. First things first, download your photos

Right after your get your photos back, download them. You want to first off make sure that you are able to download your photos in a high resolution size to make sure they will show up well and in focus when your add them to your website. You also might want to download them in a smaller size (1 mb or less) for sharing across social media platforms and on your website as well. SEO tip: 1 mb or less is the recommended size for photos on your website to help with a quicker load speed which will help your search engine optimization (SEO).

Once you download your photos you want to make sure you save that gallery in a place you won’t lose them and where you can access them easily since you will want to have them handy for using them over and over again.

2. Update your profile picture on social media

Let’s show off those photos! One of the quickest ways and most effective ways to use your new brand photos is to update all your profile photos on your business’s social media accounts to create brand recognition and cohesiveness.

3. Update your website photos

To keep the cohesiveness and recognition upload your photos onto your website — especially your about or mission statement page if you have one. I also recommend spreading your brand photos of yourself out across all your website pages. When you have photos of yourself, the business owner, on your website, it instantly creates trust and your audience feel more connected to your brand knowing who they are investing in and recognize the face behind the business.

4. Create a Canva account and social media graphic posts

Social media is not everyone’s strong suit, but Canva is a free tool that can make posting on social media so much easier! Canva has free Instagram, Facebook, and other templates that be used for creating an aesthetically pleasing post that includes your photos and brand statement in text in it. You can use Canva to create content such as Reels, educational carousel posts, Stories, Pins, digital products, e-mail marketing, blog posts and more to convert your audience and followers to clients.

5. Create a content calendar and social media schedule to start sharing on-brand content

Once you create some beautiful graphic posts to use on your social media accounts, create a content strategy to use your brand photos consistently. Creating a social media schedule for your content will make the process of posting on social media that much easier and be less extra effort for you. Having on-brand content will help establish your visual branding and increase the perceived value of your products or services.

You can write your captions ahead of time too and just copy and paste the graphics and captions when you are ready to post. You can schedule ahead through Facebook’s Meta Suite for Facebook and Instagram or just have reminders of when to post on your Google calendar. There are also endless social media scheduling apps and software you can invest in for posting social media content for you such as Hootsuite, Planoly, Agorapulse, and more.
